Nursing involvement in the NPfIT Posted on:  July 26 2005 14:00 GMT -05:00

It is hard to see why but it seems that nurses are being kept in the UK's ongoing  NHS IT developments ( http://www.e-health-insider.com/news/item.cfm?ID=1342 ), considering they are one of its stakeholders. Perhaps those in charge believe if they can kept clinician acceptance then it would be smooth sailing form there. No doubt clinician acceptance is important to the success of the project but considering that nurses are also going to be affected by the sweeping changes, it would be logical to keep them informed on developments of the project and how it is expected to affect the work they do.
