Bar Codes Help Pumps Ensure Safety Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal Health has added bar coding support to its infusion pumps to increase patient safety. The vendor's Auto-ID module enables nurses to scan and validate bar codes on patient wristbands, nurse badges, and IV bags that are used with the vendor's Alaris system pumps during medication administration.
