PatientKeeper Introduces Eight New Products and Unveils the Industry's First 'Physician Information System' at HIMSS 2006

Leading Software Vendor Will Also Receive a 2006 MS-HUG Award at Conference
BOSTON -- PatientKeeper(R), Inc., the leading developer of software for physicians, today announced it will unveil the industry's first Physician Information System at HIMSS 2006 (Booth #1218). Only PatientKeeper can support a physician's entire day -- across different care settings, multiple organizations, and disparate information systems. PatientKeeper's broad product portfolio allows physicians to access their patients' electronic records, write prescriptions, enter charges for services, document patient encounters, place orders, and securely send messages to other caregivers -- all in a single integrated environment. This has allowed PatientKeeper to become an integral part of the IT strategies of organizations across the healthcare continuum -- ranging from small physician practices and community hospitals to major academic medical centers and some of the largest health systems in the country.

The new PatientKeeper applications include:

PatientKeeper Patient Care Suite(TM):
* PatientKeeper Ambulatory Order Entry(TM) allows physicians to
efficiently and accurately enter orders for lab tests, diagnostic
images, and other outpatient procedures
* PatientKeeper Task Manager(TM) streamlines patient hand-off and sign-out
by ensuring that no tasks are missed in the process
* PatientKeeper Clinical Surveillance(TM) automates monitoring and
identification of key patient populations

PatientKeeper Charge Capture Suite(TM):
* PatientKeeper Analytics(TM) allows physicians, office managers, billing
staff, and administrators to perform extensive analysis on their
billing patterns and charge submission process

PatientKeeper Documentation Suite(TM):
* PatientKeeper Forms(TM) streamlines the process, increases the accuracy,
and reduces the cost of capturing data on forms. Automatically
populates forms with relevant patient information and routes forms to
the appropriate destination -- either on paper or via EDI.
* PatientKeeper NoteWriter(TM) provides a quick and easy way for
physicians to create templated notes that are automatically pre-
populated with the most current patient information.
* PatientKeeper eSignature(TM) enables physicians to sign clinical notes
and orders -- anytime, anywhere -- from a handheld PDA, laptop,
wireless tablet, or desktop PC

PatientKeeper Communications Suite(TM):
* PatientKeeper Messaging(TM) allows physicians to securely send messages
and requests to other caregivers and automatically provide links to the
relevant patient information

These new applications work seamlessly with PatientKeeper's current set of six physician products to round out the complete the Physician Information System:

PatientKeeper Patient Care Suite(TM):
* PatientKeeper Mobile Clinical Results(TM) delivers access to essential
patient clinical information -- anytime, anywhere with PDAs and
Smartphones
* PatientKeeper Physician Portal(TM) provides a comprehensive,
longitudinal view of a patient's entire medical history from any Web
browser
* PatientKeeper ePrescription(TM) allows physicians to write electronic
prescriptions quickly and accurately while ensuring patient safety by
automatically checking the medications against the patient's existing
medications and known allergies
* PatientKeeper Ambulatory Order Entry(TM) allows physicians to
efficiently and accurately enter orders for lab tests, diagnostic
images, and other outpatient procedures
* PatientKeeper Task Manager(TM) streamlines patient hand-off and sign-out
by ensuring that no tasks are missed in the process
* PatientKeeper Clinical Surveillance(TM) automates monitoring and
identification of key patient populations

PatientKeeper Charge Capture Suite(TM):
* PatientKeeper Charge Capture(TM) enables clinicians to quickly and
easily record charges for services they deliver -- at the point of
care, in the office, or anywhere in between
* PatientKeeper Analytics(TM) allows physicians, office managers, billing
staff, and administrators to perform extensive analysis on their
billing patterns and charge submission process

PatientKeeper Documentation Suite(TM):
* PatientKeeper Mobile Dictation(TM) allows physicians to quickly,
accurately, and conveniently dictate notes on a PDA
* PatientKeeper Forms streamlines the process, increases the accuracy, and
reduces the cost of capturing data on forms. Automatically populates
forms with relevant patient information and routes forms to the
appropriate destination -- either on paper or via EDI
* PatientKeeper NoteWriter provides a quick and easy way for physicians to
create templated notes that are automatically pre-populated with the
most current patient information
* PatientKeeper eSignature enables physicians to sign clinical notes and
orders -- anytime, anywhere -- from a handheld PDA, laptop, wireless
tablet, or desktop PC

PatientKeeper Communications Suite(TM):
* PatientKeeper Provider Directory(TM) gives instant access to all the
contact information for physicians in a community. Provides one-tap
dialing from Smartphones
* PatientKeeper Messaging(TM) allows physicians to securely send messages
and requests to other caregivers and automatically provide links to the
relevant patient information

Also at HIMSS, Microsoft will honor PatientKeeper with the 2006 Microsoft Healthcare User Group (MS-HUG) Best in Class award. The award is presented annually at the show and recognizes healthcare independent software vendors that best utilize Microsoft technology to provide tangible business benefits to healthcare organizations.
