Leading Electronic Patient Diary Provider invivodata Appoints New Vice President of Worldwide Operations

Executive to Leverage Scaleable Business Model to Meet Growing Demand
PITTSBURGH -- invivodata(R) inc., the industry leader in electronic patient reported outcomes (ePRO) solutions for global clinical research, today appointed John Tondra to a newly created position of vice president, worldwide operations. Based at corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, Tondra will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of DiaryPRO(TM) and SitePRO(TM), invivodata's electronic handheld and site-based PRO data collection systems, in worldwide clinical trials and for scaling the organization to continue meeting increasing global demand for its services.

"John brings a wealth of operations management experience to the company," said Doug Engfer, president and CEO of invivodata. "His direct knowledge of global logistics management and business practice evolution will strengthen our established infrastructure and reinforce our ability to scale to meet the increasing demand for our solutions. We are fortunate to have him join us."

invivodata more than doubled its operational capacity during 2005 and currently has over 80 employees worldwide committed to satisfying its new and returning pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.

Before joining invivodata, Tondra was director of worldwide operations for Pinnacle Systems Inc. in Mountain View, Calif. In this role, he designed and implemented processes that enabled the organization to grow fivefold in three years. His 25 years of experience includes significant product, logistics and organizational management within the technology and medical products industries.

"This is a very exciting time to join invivodata," Tondra said. "The company's tremendous growth is a direct outcome of the results it is delivering to its more than 50 pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. I look forward to joining the global operations team and helping them to continue to deliver exceptional service and the highest quality PRO data to international clinical trial sponsors."
