Electronic Medical Records Software and Practice Management Solutions Provider gloStream, Inc. Names Michael Sappington as CEO

gloStream, Inc., an electronic medical records software and practice management solutions provider serving healthcare facilities nationwide, announced today that Mike Sappington has been named the company's CEO.
Bloomfield Hills, MI -- gloStream, Inc. (gloStream), an electronic medical records software and practic e management solutions provider serving healthcare facilities nationwide, announced today that Mike Sappington has been named the company's CEO.

Sappington will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's business strategies, overseeing day-to-day operations and managing the gloStream software research and development team. Sappington also will develop a nationwide network of partners to sell, deliver and support its electronic medical record software and practice management solutions. gloStream partners will undergo a certification process to ensure they are proficient at implementing and supporting the company's solutions. gloStream also will offer its partners ongoing training, sales and support services creating a world class support environment for physicians nationwide.

gloStream has already developed an Open Platform for Healthcare Information Technology (gloStream OPHIT) initiative aimed at forming key industry alliances so the company can seamlessly integrate its solutions with best of breed, industry technology. I n addition, the organization's Center of Excellence Program will seek out healthcare facilities to use its solutions and provide feedback and insight for future product development.

Sappington has more than 20 years experience with fast-growing technology companies as an entrepreneur, senior leader and visionary. As partner and COO of Michigan-based Netrex Secure Solutions, Sappington took part in pioneering and developing a platf orm for managed security services for the Internet. Netrex was eventually purchased by Internet Security Systems, which is now part of IBM and remains one of the largest managed security services firms across the globe. Sappington also held board, adv isory and senior management positions at other technology companies.
