Thornton, CO -- North Suburban Medical Center announced today the acquisition of a high-definition magnetic resonance (HDMR) system from GE Healthcare.
Described as an innovative tool for the diagnosis of disease, the powerful diagnostic imaging technology enables faster, more detailed and sophisticated exams.
"Our new high-definition MRI is designed specifically to handle the types of studies that are becoming increasingly important in imaging evaluation," says Dr. Stephen George, medical director of Diagnostic Imaging at North Suburban Medical Cen ter. "HDMR captures and delivers superb image quality that will expedite the diagnosis of a wide range of conditions, including cardiovascular and breast disease, stroke, abdominal and brain disorders and musculoskeletal conditions in the knee, hip , shoulder, wrist and other joints."
Benefits of High-Definition Magnetic Resonance Imaging: • Permits shorter, more comfortable exams for patients (requires less time for patient breath holds); • Provides outstanding image quality, capturing dramatic patient images with greater detail and definition; • Enables earlier, more confident diagnoses, even in the most challenging circumstances of patient movement.
