North Suburban Medical Center Upgrades To High-Definition MRI System

North Suburban Medical Center announced today the acquisition of a high-definition magnetic resonance (HDMR) system from GE Healthcare.
Thornton, CO -- North Suburban Medical Center announced today the acquisition of a high-definition magnetic resonance (HDMR) system from GE Healthcare.

Described as an innovative tool for the diagnosis of disease, the powerful diagnostic imaging technology enables faster, more detailed and sophisticated exams.

"Our new high-definition MRI is designed specifically to handle the types of studies that are becoming increasingly important in imaging evaluation," says Dr. Stephen George, medical director of Diagnostic Imaging at North Suburban Medical Cen ter. "HDMR captures and delivers superb image quality that will expedite the diagnosis of a wide range of conditions, including cardiovascular and breast disease, stroke, abdominal and brain disorders and musculoskeletal conditions in the knee, hip , shoulder, wrist and other joints."

• Permits shorter, more comfortable exams for patients (requires less time for patient breath holds);
