MediConnect Integrates FedEx to Speed Medical Record Retrieval with Increased Status Tracking

In order to continue increasing the speed and efficiency of medical record retrieval, MediConnect Global, Inc. (www.mediconnect.net) today announced it has integrated a FedEx® Web integrated solution in its patented medical record retrieval process.
SALT LAKE CITY -- In order to continue increasing the speed and efficiency of medical record retrieval, MediConnect Global, Inc. (www.mediconnect.net) today announced it has integrated a FedEx® Web integrated solution in its patented medical record retrieval process—new functionality that will not only allow instant ordering of FedEx pickup or delivery, but also provide continuous FedEx tracking updates directly to clients through MediConnect’s RapidRetrieve™ Web-based system for ordering, tracking, and receiving patient medical records.

MediConnect works with medical providers all over the globe to retrieve medical records for its clients. FedEx’ global infrastructure makes it an excellent carrier for MediConnect to provide the fastest medical record retrieval services available.

MediConnect’s new integration automatically populates status notes within MediConnect’s RapidRetrieve Web-based system with the entire package of tracking information listed on each medical record request, thus saving the client from having to jump over to the FedEx website, key in a tracking number, and do a lookup on the status of their package. This ultimately increases the efficiency of retrieving records.

“Turnaround time for retrieving medical records is absolutely critical to our clients, and our shipping partners play a large part in our ability to exceed our clients' expectations,” said Amy Rees Anderson, CEO of MediConnect Global. “FedEx’ core business is fast and efficient shipping. With this new integration to RapidRetrieve, our clients will be able to know exactly when a payment or authorization was delivered to a provider, and when an incoming medical record is scheduled to arrive at MediConnect for the digitization process, thus allowing them to know through real-time status updates when they can expect their digitized medical record to be ready for download.”

The new functionality is available immediately.
