Patient Portal Technologies Awarded Contract Extension With Novation

Contract Provides Access to 49 Percent of Hospital Admissions in the U.S.
BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. -- Patient Portal Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:PPRG) announced today that its TB&A Hospital Television subsidiary had been awarded a contract extension from Novation of Irving, TX to provide hospital quality televisions, patient bedside communications systems, and related patient support services. The Company expects approximately $5 million in total revenue from this contract during fiscal years 2008 and 2009.

Novation is the contracting services company for the VHA, UHC and Trovista. Through its affiliation, Novation represents $31.6 billion in annual purchases, 44 percent of the staffed beds in the United States, 49 percent of the nation's admissions and 52 percent of the nation's total surgeries. "Novation is one of the elite and most respected contracted service providers in all of healthcare," said Kevin Kelly, CEO of Patient Portal Technologies, Inc. "This agreement will greatly enhance our national rollout of Patient Portal Technologies, Inc.'s entire service offerings."
