MEDHOST Selected As A Microsoft Managed Independent Software Vendor Partner

Microsoft acknowledges MEDHOST’s commitment in providing easy-to-use, innovative software that enhances communication and workflow in hospitals
ADDISON, Texas -- MEDHOST, provider of the leading Emergency Department Information System (EDIS), today announced that it has been selected as a Microsoft Managed Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner. This recognition further affirms MEDHOST’s leadership in providing innovative graphical touch screen solutions that are designed to dramatically improve communication, operations and processes in emergency departments, as well as revolutionize the way that clinicians leverage computers to deliver care.

In late 2007, MEDHOST attained Gold Certified Partner Status in the Microsoft Partner Program after demonstrating expertise with Microsoft technologies and a proven ability to meet Customer needs. Since then, the strategic relationship has evolved to one that will allow direct access to Microsoft’s forthcoming technologies and technical resources and will help MEDHOST enhance its commitment of delivering a robust solution to hospitals.

Microsoft Managed ISV Partners are chosen based on strict selection criteria, including revenue growth and an established track record of success working with Microsoft. Through this program, Microsoft has devoted key field resources, including a Microsoft Architect Evangelist and a Partner Account Manager, to help accelerate the adoption of MEDHOST products in the marketplace and achieve joint technical, product sales and marketing goals. The two companies also will collaborate on joint marketing initiatives and enterprise sales programs.

“MEDHOST was founded on delivering innovative solutions that are easy for busy clinicians to learn and use,” said Eric Rock, CTO for MEDHOST. “We were the first to deliver a complete touch screen solution for healthcare, solving many of the problems in our overcrowded emergency departments. Now, as a Managed Partner with direct access to Microsoft's forthcoming technologies and technical resources, MEDHOST can leverage new solutions that will further revolutionize the way clinicians interact with computers.”

MEDHOST is a highly visual, easy to use process management technology designed by ED clinicians to dramatically improve ED workflow, productivity and regulatory compliance, while supporting clinical decision making and enhancing patient safety. It provides real time patient tracking, electronic clinical documentation with behind the scenes charge capture, comprehensive reporting and physician order entry.

MEDHOST currently serves more than 160 facilities, including the Baylor Healthcare System in Texas, Catholic Healthcare West in California, Catholic Health System in New York and Tenet Healthcare Corporation. MEDHOST is the preferred EDIS provider of VHA Inc., a national cooperative serving more than 2,400 not-for-profit healthcare organizations. MEDHOST easily integrates with leading hospital information systems, including MEDITECH, Cerner, Siemens and McKesson.
