WICHITA, Kan. -- MedAppz, the leader in web-based electronic health care record (EHR) applications, today announced that it has been named by the Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC) as one of the MHCC 2007 Select EHR Vendors. This status reflects MedAppz commitment to delivering value to physicians seeking to implement an EHR in their practice. The MHCC selected EHR providers to partner for a comprehensive EHR Adoption program developed by the state, which includes the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) EHR Demonstration project. The MHCC has selected only vendors possessing 2007 CCHIT certification, offering a product discount to Maryland physicians, and who completed a rigorous elimination process.
"MedAppz is thrilled to be chosen as a participant in this important initiative to help accelerate the adoption of EHRs among physicians to improve the quality of patient care," said Brian Lichtlin, MedAppz CEO. "For years we've been at the forefront of EHR technology, and it's exciting to be part of an initiative to accelerate the adoption of EHRs, both at the state and federal levels, because EHRs promise to drive down practice costs and improve practice efficiencies by serving patients faster and more reliably."
