Medicity Ranked #1 Health Information Exchange Vendor for Private HIEs in Annual KLAS Evaluation |
| Medicity Earns Top Ranking for Second Straight Year |
Medicity, a leading health information exchange (HIE) vendor, announced today that Medicity Novo Grid has again been ranked the #1 solution in the nation for private HIEs by KLAS, an analyst firm specializing in the performance of health care vendors. A private HIE is sponsored and managed by hospitals or health systems for the benefit of patients, physicians and other caregivers in their community. An HIE provides the capability to electronically exchange clinical information among different health care information systems. Medicity has held the #1 ranking since 2010 when KLAS first began reporting on the HIE market.
KLAS bases its performance scores and rankings on client satisfaction surveys and customer interviews. Medicity's Novo Grid outperformed all other companies that have an established customer base in the private HIE market. The ranking points to Medicity's demonstrated success in securely connecting and exchanging health information across the wide variety of information systems in and across hospitals, physician practices, long-term care facilities and other health care organizations.
KLAS intends its report, entitled Health Information Exchanges: Rapid Growth in an Evolving Market, to help providers identify which HIE vendors can best enable them to establish a successful technology infrastructure for health information exchange.
