Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Inc Renews Agreement with Phoenix Health Systems for Data Replication and Disaster Recovery Solutions

Phoenix Health Systems announced today that Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Inc. (DLS), Honolulu, HI, has extended their agreement which provides a comprehensive backup repository and remote data vaulting solutions.
Dallas, TX -- Phoenix Health Systems, a premier provider of integrated information technology (IT) outsourcing and consulting services for healthcare organizations, announced today that Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Inc. (DLS), Honolulu, HI, has extended their agreement which provides a comprehensive backup repository and remote data vaulting solutions.

Phoenix has been providing data replication and vaulting services to DLS since 2008 when the parties worked collaboratively to design a repository solution that would integrate into existing backup processes and adhere to a comprehensive disaster recovery plan. The solution ensures that DLS’s critical data, is protected, and electronically and securely replicated to the Phoenix Leverage Service Center in Richardson, Texas - a complete off-island data repository. In the event of a disaster, DLS’s data will be secure and can be restored once local services are restored.

“Recent events demonstrate that all locations around the Pacific Ocean are vulnerable to natural disasters including volcanoes, earthquakes, hurricanes and tsunami,” Said Raymond Yeung, Vice President Information Systems, Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Inc. “Phoenix has provided us peace of mind for several years and we are pleased that they will continue to provide an innovative disaster recovery solution that can protect our critical patient data in the event of an incident.”

"Phoenix is delighted to continue to provide DLS a secure disaster recovery solution from our Richardson Leveraged Service Center," said Darin LeGrange, President and CEO of Phoenix Health Systems. "We recognize how important it is for healthcare providers to have a secure and reliable backup of patient data and we appreciate the trust they have placed in us to continue to do just that.”
